Katherine Russell wants Tamerlan’s body released to Tsarnaev family

Amato DeLuca, the Rhode Island attorney for his widow, Katherine Russell, said in a statement Tuesday that his client had just learned that the medical examiner was ready to release Tsarnaev’s body and that she wants it released to the Tsarnaev family.

And of course Uncle Ruslan Tsarni has something to say immediately, even though he initially claimed that he had almost nothing to do with his brother Anzor’s side of the family since 2006 and that they were a bunch of “losers”.

“Of course, family members will take possession of the body,” uncle Ruslan Tsarni of Montgomery Village, Md., told The Associated Press on Tuesday night. “We’ll do it. We will do it. A family is a family.”

He would not elaborate. Tsarnaev’s parents are still in Russia, but he has other relatives on his side of the family in the U.S., including Tsarni.  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/30/katherine-russell-body-released_n_3188958.html

I missed the report from about 6 days ago that Katherine Russell, like Tamerlan’s mother Zubeidat, was once arrested in 2007 for shoplifting $67 worth of clothing from an Old Navy store in Warwick, Rhode Island.

And in an intriguing twist, Russell, who was 18 at the time, told officers she was married though she was living at parent’s North Kingstown home and did not meet Tsranaev until some two years later.

The startling revelation of this tawdry incident raises fresh questions over the past and character of the ‘all-American girl’ ‘brainwashed’ according to some, by her fanatic husband.  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2314214/Katherine-Russell-wife-Tamerlan-Tsarnaev-arrested-shoplifting.html

Like I said before, I have yet to hear a person involved in this hot mess that I trust, believe or makes a bit of sense, including most law enforcement.  Even the Watertown Police Chief was a bit dodgy during initial interviews, but I can cut him some slack as it was indeed a fluid and evolving situation in the days immediately following the Watertown firefight, death of Tamerlan and capture of Dzhokhar.

I haven’t paid much attention to reports of female DNA found on the pressure cooker, because it seemed that it wouldn’t establish much, as that DNA could’ve attached to the pressure cooker during assembly, retail sale, in home, or during the explosion.  But I agree that every piece of evidence needs to be identified and developed.

One of the officials said a fingerprint had also been found on a bomb fragment and that investigators had tried to collect DNA and fingerprint samples from several people whom the authorities are scrutinizing in addition to Russell.

Federal authorities took a sample of Russell’s DNA on Monday in Rhode Island, where she has been staying with her parents, the officials said.  http://www.ajc.com/news/news/national/official-female-dna-found-on-boston-pressure-cooke/nXbwB/

So, here is a bit on the female DNA:
